6-Seater Off-Road Golf Cart for Sale

$9,999. Six seats, 48V 5KW, 25 MPH, up to 62 miles of range and 1,190 lb of payload. Free US shipping from our California warehouse in 3-8 business days, with a 1-year warranty and 15-day returns.

What $9,999 actually buys

  • Six seats, plus a rear cargo bed for tools, coolers or feed.
  • 48V electrical system with a 5KW motor, 25 MPH top speed.
  • Up to 62 miles of range on a charge.
  • 1,190 lb payload — six adults plus cargo, in one trip.
  • Off-road tires and a chassis built for grass, gravel and unpaved property lanes.
  • 1-year warranty and 15-day returns.

Compare that against the typical dealer route: a base four-seat cart, a seat kit, a lift kit and installation, which lands well above this price before you add a cargo bed.

What 48V and 5KW mean in practice

48 volts is the working voltage of the pack; 5KW is roughly 6.7 horsepower. That is enough to carry six people up a driveway grade at a walking-to-cycling pace without straining, and to hold 25 MPH on flat pavement with two aboard. It is not a UTV powerplant, and it is not meant to be. A golf cart is a low-speed utility vehicle; 5KW is the right size for that job, and it is why the batteries last for years instead of months.

62 miles of range, and when it is less

Range figures assume a light load, mild weather and steady throttle on flat ground. Load six adults, point it at hills, or ride in near-freezing weather and expect 25-40% less. If your property loop is two miles, none of this matters. If you plan day-long use on a large lease, charge at midday.

Street legal or not, state by state

These carts ship as off-road vehicles. Getting one onto a public road is a state-by-state process, and often a city-by-city one on top of that. The common pattern for golf cart or LSV registration:

  • Headlights, taillights, brake lights and turn signals
  • Mirrors, a windshield and seatbelts for every seat
  • A horn and, in some states, a speed cap of 20-25 MPH
  • Registration, a plate, and liability insurance
  • Roads posted at or below a set speed limit — often 25 or 35 MPH

Requirements vary widely, and an LSV conversion does not guarantee approval. Confirm with your state DMV and your city before you buy for road use. For private property, campgrounds and neighborhoods that permit carts, none of this applies.

Golf cart vs UTV vs side-by-side

A side-by-side is a trail machine: roll cage, harnesses, high speed, expensive to maintain. A six-seat golf cart is a shuttle: quiet, cheap to run, easy for anyone to drive, and it carries six people plus cargo. If your use is property work, hunting leases, HOA streets or hauling family, the cart does it for a fraction of the cost. If you need to climb rocks at 40 MPH, buy a UTV instead.

Maintenance: less than you expect

No oil, no plugs, no belts. Check tire pressure monthly, keep the battery terminals clean and the pack charged, and check brake adjustment once a season. The one habit that kills electric carts is storing them flat: charge fully before storage and top up every couple of months.

Golf cart buying questions

How much does a 6-seater golf cart cost?

+

Ours is $9,999, down from $15,999 during the current sale. That price is the cart, six seats and a cargo bed — not a base model with the seats sold separately as an upgrade.

How fast does it go and how far on a charge?

+

25 MPH top speed and up to 62 miles of range on a 48V system with a 5KW motor. Range drops with a full load of six adults, hills, cold weather or aggressive throttle — plan on 25% less in those conditions.

Is a golf cart street legal?

+

Not automatically. Many states allow golf carts or LSVs on roads posted at 25-35 MPH once they are equipped with lights, mirrors, turn signals, seatbelts, a windshield and a license plate, and registered and insured. Requirements differ by state and often by city, so check with your state DMV before you plan on road use.

How is this different from a UTV or side-by-side?

+

A six-seat golf cart is built for people and light cargo at low speed on private property, campgrounds and neighborhood streets. A UTV is built for high-speed trail work with a roll cage and harnesses. If you need to climb rocks at 40 MPH, you want a UTV. If you need to move six people and a cooler, the cart is cheaper and easier to live with.

How is it delivered and is there setup?

+

It ships free from our California warehouse in 3-8 business days to a commercial or residential address. Minimal assembly: the cart arrives largely assembled, with wheels, mirrors and the windshield to fit.

What maintenance does it need?

+

No oil changes, no spark plugs, no carburetor. Check tire pressure, keep the terminals clean and charged, and check brake adjustment seasonally. Battery care is the main thing: charge it fully before storage and do not leave it flat for months.
